ProgramID=30018&Type=PLAYER Announcement: SkyBlue FC Due to the success of the 1st MSC Night at SkyBlue FC (over 190 MSC players in attendance) MSC is happy to announce we are doing it again. Our next MSC Night at SkyBlue FC will be on Sunday, July 20th (currently scheduled for 6pm game start time). A wonderful time was had by all at MSC’s 1st Night with SkyBlue FC. A number of MSC players were the official ball girls during the game. Everybody participated in the before the game Rally Tunnel and the Halftime Parade. It was a fantastic night as MSC families watched some of the world’s greatest female soccer players play the world’s game. A number of the SkyBlue FC players and opponents played in previous World Cup games and Olympics. This would be a great opportunity to have an after season party while attending a professional game. SkyBlue FC plays their home games,only 30 minutes away at Yurcak Field, on the campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway. Ticket price is only $12 per (checks to be made out to ). IMPORTANT-Sports Concussion Injury Prevention and Management Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Coaches: Governor Christie passed a Law on Sports Concussion Injury Prevention and Management back in December 2010 (see attached). If you have coached (or are coaching or know of someone currently coaching) HS Soccer you may have been informed about this and your Board Of Education (BOE) may have required you to take either the National Federation of High Schools Sports Concussion On-Line Training Program OR the Centers for Disease Control On-Line Training Program (see below). Regardless, this law will also begin to impact all Youth Soccer Programs run through NJYS that apply to rent out/use HS or Public Parks and Recreation Fieldsbesides turning in a Certificate of Insurance, School/Parks and Recs will require at some point start to require proof that all coaches using these complexes show proof of training in Sports Concussions. Bottom line YOU MUST take this On Line CourseNJYS will require coaches submit proof of having taken this course. Get prepared now if you want to coach! Time: 9 hours Recommended for coaching players 6-11 years old. Required license for all travel team coaches. Prerequisite : None The teaching philosophy for this age level is largely devoted to teaching players technique, keeping tactics simple and minimal. The course focuses on methods used in teaching the techniques of dribbling, shooting, passing and receiving, heading, defending, and goalkeeping. Focus is on fun, repetition, and the use of small-sided games. Contains practical first aid and criteria for running a safe and healthy program. The minimum age requirement for taking the F license course is 14 years old. Candidates who take the F license course and are under the age of 18 will not receive a NJYS Coaches Pass until they are 18 years old. They can obtain a Youth Trainers Pass.
